In brief, our owner Scotty has been an entrepreneur in tourism since he left school in 1995. He has owned and operated cultural tours, youth hostels, online travel agencies and tourism publications…and now a tourist vessel. He has been visiting GKI since 1995 where he first met Geoff Mercer, who has been operating the Holiday Village on the island for over 40 years. The two struck up a friendship and have worked together since to provide the best experience for visitors to Keppel.
After years of living on Great Keppel Island and exploring the outer islands, conversations and dreams, Scotty made the move to invest in an explorer vessel to handle most sea conditions in comfort and safety and provide visitors an easy opportunity to really discover the Keppel Island Archipelago’s beauty and secrets from the water. He also managed to discover the love of his life in this island paradise, Co-owner Talia (Tals). These two local legends are the heart and soul of this experience with their passion for showing off their perfect little patch of the world.
